Single sounds or a whole pack?
When you audition a single music track or sound effect cue, you can license it instantly for a few tokens. But when you need an entire production arsenal—90+ WAV recordings, multitrack stems, and construction kits—a complete pack for 35 tokens (about $35) is by far the better deal.
À La Carte Single Sounds
Best when you need 1 to 5 specific sounds for an edit. 1 token = $1.00 USD. Pay only for what you download.
Full Curated Sample Packs
Best for music producers. 35 tokens (about $35) gets you 50–100+ files. Far cheaper than unlocking them one by one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do tokens expire?+
Paid tokens never expire — they stay in your account until you use them. Free tokens (your daily allowance and welcome gift) are used first and work on MAS originals.
How do I buy a sample pack?+
Packs are bought with tokens: every curated sample pack is 35 tokens (about $35). Top up once with Visa, Mastercard, MTN MoMo or Airtel Money, then unlock the pack in one click — every file inside becomes yours.
Why buy a whole pack instead of single sounds?+
A sample pack gives you an entire heritage collection—often 60 to 120+ high-resolution WAV files, loops, one-shots, and wet/dry stems—for 35 tokens. Unlocking those same files one by one would cost 60 to 120+ tokens. It provides maximum value for music producers and composers.
Are all sounds cleared for commercial projects?+
Yes. 100% of the Mulika Audio Safari catalog is legally cleared for commercial use. Sounds and sample packs come with a royalty-free licence, and music is licensed per project: Online (20 tokens) or Indie / Doc (75 tokens). For broadcast TV, theatrical films, and major ad campaigns, our Pro Commercial Sync licenses provide full clearance with automated PRO cue sheet metadata.
How are African musicians and field recordists compensated?+
We operate on an equitable artist-first revenue share. Up to 60% of every sale goes directly to the African contributor who recorded the audio. When you purchase on MAS, you are directly funding working musicians and cultural preservation across the continent.
What formats are the files delivered in?+
Sound effects and field recordings are delivered as broadcast-standard WAV files at 48kHz / 24-bit or higher. Music tracks and sample packs are delivered as 24-bit WAV masters (48kHz or higher), with stems where the track has them.
Up to 60% of all gross sales directly fund African recording artists, traditional instrumentalists, and field recordists. All transactions are securely processed with 256-bit SSL encryption.
