Licensing & Usage Permissions
Are these sounds cleared for commercial projects?+
Yes. All music tracks and SFX downloaded from the Basecamp and Outpost catalogs are 100% royalty-free and cleared for commercial use. This includes YouTube, podcasts, games, software, and advertising.
What is the difference between Basecamp, Outpost, and Vault?+
Basecamp is our standard token pool catalog (loops, one-shots, standard SFX). Outpost holds premium artist compositions and stems which require commercial sync licenses. Vault contains traditional field records which are free for research but require custom approval for commercial media.
Can I use downloaded samples to create my own sample packs?+
No. You are licensed to use the audio elements in your own finished musical compositions, film projects, games, and broadcasts. Redundantly reselling, redistributing, or packaging the raw files as a competing sample pack is strictly prohibited.
Tokens & Economy
How does the token system work?+
Tokens are our standard currency. 10 Tokens equal $1.00 USD. You buy Token Bundles via mobile money or card checkout, and then spend them directly in the library: SFX cost 2 tokens, loops cost 5 tokens, and full music tracks cost 50 tokens.
Do my purchased tokens expire?+
No. Tokens added to your account balance never expire. However, high-resolution file download links generated from token purchases are valid for 24 hours. You can re-generate the download link from your transaction history at any time without spending extra tokens.
What is the student trigger policy?+
Students are entitled to free academic access. By uploading your student ID under your profile, our moderators approve a student discount trigger that grants academic tokens and frees traditional archive vault records for research.

What audio formats do you deliver?+
We deliver previews as lightweight MP3 or OGG files for rapid streaming. Master downloads are delivered as high-resolution Broadcast WAV files (96kHz / 24-bit for SFX, and 44.1kHz / 16-bit for music releases) or as compressed ZIP files for sample packs.
What are stems, and how do I play them?+
Stems are isolated sub-mixes of a track (e.g., vocal only, drums only, instruments only). Tracks that support stems feature a 'Stems' button. Clicking it expands a panel where you can play or download individual sub-mixes to use in your DAW.
What metadata standard do you use?+
We adhere to the Universal Category System (UCS v8.2.1) structure for SFX. All files contain embedded metadata including UCS IDs, category mapping, keywords, descriptions, and creator details for easy sorting in tools like Soundminer.
